ISTANBUL - King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden and Queen Silvia departed from Turkey on Friday.
The Swedish king and queen arrived in Turkish capital of Ankara on Monday. An official welcome ceremony was held at the Presidential Palace on Tuesday.
King Carl XVI Gustaf met Turkish President Ahmet Necdet Sezer and Parliament Speaker Bulent Arinc during his stay in Ankara.
Turkish metropolis of Istanbul, the ancient city of Ephesus and House of Virgin Mary were the other places the Swedish king and queen visited.
On the other hand, a delegation of CEOs of giant Swedish companies accompanied the king and queen during their visit to Turkey. The Swedish CEOs met Turkish businessmen and participated in a panel discussion on better management and sustainable growth.
