ANKARA - General Staff said on Friday that seven terrorists were killed in an operation launched in rural area of Besiri township in southeastern Batman province.
Two soldiers died, while one officer, one non-commissioned officer and one soldier were wounded in clashes.
General Staff General Secretariat issued a written statement and said security forces launched an operation on Thursday as 17 members of terrorist KADEK organization were determined to be present in rural area in Besiri township in Batman.
The statement said, ''two soldiers died, while one officer, one non-commissioned officer and one soldier were wounded in clashes. Those injured are in good condition.''
The statement said seven terrorists were killed in the operation, stating that patrolling was underway in the region.

In his message, Erdogan said that he felt sad about the clash which took place in rural area in Besiri township in Batman which killed two security forces and injured three others.
Erdogan said, ''it is impossible for those who make an attempt against unity of the country and the nation to reach their target. The army is the guaranty of tranquility and stability in the country.''
Erdogan offered his condolences to the relatives of security forces who died in the clash and he said in his message that he hoped that security forces who were injured would get well soon.
