ANKARA - Almost 53 hectares of forest land burnt in 12 fires which broke out in various parts of the country on Thursday.
Environment and Forestry Ministry Forest Fire Operation Centre stated that 53 hectares of forest land burnt in the fires that broke out in Ankara, Antalya, Balikesir, Canakkale, Isparta, Istanbul, Mugla and Zonguldak provinces the same day.
Majority of the fires were totally taken under control, while the fire in Yatagan, Mugla was partially taken under control.
