Central Bank Holds Auction To Buy U.S. Dollar

ANKARA - The Central Bank conducted an auction on Thursday to buy foreign exchange.
The average bidding currency for 1 U.S. dollar became 1 million 398 thousand 157 Turkish liras (TL).
The total bid had been for 130 million U.S. dollars while maximum currency was 1 million 398 thousand 157 TL, and minimum currency was 1 million 397 thousand 700 TL.
The bank earlier announced that it would hold forex buying auctions on each working-day, and the maximum amount at each auction would be limited to 50 trillion TL.
