ANKARA - Banks' credit volume decreased 799.6 trillion Turkish liras (TL) to 46 quadrillion 436.3 trillion TL between August 1-8, 2003.
The total credit volume at banks was 47 quadrillion 435.9 trillion TL on August 1.
The credits given to financial sector were composed of 773.1 trillion TL of loans given by deposit banks, and 1 quadrillion 656.5 trillion TL of loans given by development and investment banks.
The credits given to non-financial sector were composed of 169.3 trillion TL of loans given by Central Bank, 39 quadrillion 739.9 trillion TL of loans given by deposit banks, and 4 quadrillion 297.5 trillion TL of loans given by development and investment banks.
