ISTANBUL - ''The fire was triggered by an explosion which occurred after a bullet hit a power cable in the shooting range in the building,'' said Istanbul Deputy Police Chief Omer Yanik on Thursday.
''A bullet hit a power cable, causing a spark and destroying the transformer. A fire broke out after the transformer exploded,'' he said.
Meanwhile, 14 people who were injured in the explosion in the basement of the five-storey building in Uskudar neighborhood of Istanbul were hospitalized.
Officials said that four of them were in critical condition.
