Sahin: We Will Pay Careful Attention To Increase Salaries Of Civil Servants In General Budget Of 2004

ANKARA - State Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Mehmet Ali Sahin said on Thursday, ''we will pay careful attention for salaries of civil servants to be higher in general budget of 2004 than figures of 2003.''
Addressing journalists following his meeting with representatives of labor unions of civil servants, Sahin said, ''salaries of civil servants will be higher in 2004 than their salaries in 2003. As government, we cannot put forward any figures for the time being. Because, we have to know budget figures of 2004 in order to put forward an amount. In the beginning of October, the Higher Planning Board and the government will announce budget figures.''
