ANKARA - ''Former Turkish Premier Bulent Ecevit is still in coma'', the doctors of the Gulhane Military Hospital (GATA) said on Thursday.
According to GATA doctors, Ecevit is still on life support and is in critical condition.
Doctors indicated that Ecevit is reacting to pain, but is not conscious.
''Ecevit's blood pressure, temperature, pulse, lung, liver and kidney functions are normal,'' they added.
Ecevit, 82, had a stroke on May 18th after attending the funeral of judge Mustafa Yucel Ozbilgin, who was killed in an armed attack against the Council of State HQs in Ankara.
He was taken to the GATA medical center with aphasia and weakness in his right arm and leg. The stroke led to a bleeding in the left side of his brain. A surgery was performed to remove the accumulated blood and reduce the pressure on his brain. Since then he has remained on life support.
