ANKARA - U.S. Ambassador to Afghanistan Ronald Neumann said that he does not think that recent incidents in Afghan capital of Kabul will spread to other parts of the country.
Answering questions of a group of reporters via satellite, Neumann indicated that the Afghani people are supporting the coalition forces in general and the Americans in particular, and said that he does not think that this view will change due to a single incident.
Neumann stated that Kabul is calm now and noted that it is the Afghan army which ensure law & order in the city. He also stressed that the International Security & Assistance Force (ISAF) is ready to contribute.
Neumann also expected that clashes will increase in Afghanistan during the summer, and stressed that they are determined to fight against Taliban.
