ARDAHAN - Turkey and Georgia performed a joint border exercise at the Turkgozu border crossing in eastern Turkish city of Ardahan.
In the exercise, Turkish and Georgian troops staged an operation in order to prevent illegal human and goods trafficking.
Gen. Muharrem Yavas, the commander of the Turkish 25th Mechanized Brigade, said that this was the sixth exercise of its kind, and added that illegal human and goods trafficking has diminished in the region thanks to these exercises.
