Increase In Boron Reserves

ENERGY AND NATURAL RESOURCES MINISTER GULER: ''TURKEY HAS BORON RESERVE WHICH CAN MEET 400 YEARS BORON NEED OF WORLD''

ANKARA - Turkey's boron reserves increased 200 million tonnes and reached 2 billion 272 million tonnes as a result of the drilling activities carried out by Mineral Exploration and Researches (MTA).
Energy and Natural Resources Ministry said as a result of drilling activities held by MTA in Emet, Kirka, Bigadic and Kestelek, Turkey's boron reserves reached to 2 billion 272 million tonnes.
Turkey has 64 percent of world boron reserves. It was reported that there were 625 million tonnes of boron in Bigadic, 835 tonnes in Emet, eight million tonnes in Kestelek, and 604 million tonnes in Kirka.
Energy and Natural Resources Minister Hilmi Guler said Turkey's boron reserves could meet needs of the world for 400 years.
