ANKARA - Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Abdullah Gul on Thursday signed book of condolence opened at the Brazilian Embassy in Ankara for U.N. top official in Iraq Sergio Vieria De Mello who died in an attack on the U.N. Headquarters in Baghdad.
In his message he wrote in the book, Gul offered his condolence to Brazilian people and De Mello's family on behalf of the Turkish government and people, and stressed that De Mello was a friend of Turks.
