ANKARA - State Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Mehmet Ali Sahin met on Thursday with administrators of Confederation of Public Workers Trade Unions (KESK) and Turkish Public Workers Trade Union (Kamu-Sen) in Prime Ministry for the second time.
The government is expected to present a proposal on increase that will be made to salaries of civil servants in 2004 in today's meeting within the scope of collective bargaining talks which began on August 15.
Kamu-Sen and KESK conveyed their demands to the government in the first meeting on August 15.
If a consensus is not reached during collective bargaining which will last till August 30, Supreme Arbitration Board Chairman and Conciliatory Board comprised of four lecturers will start their activities concerning the issue.
If the board and sides reach a consensus, a memorandum of understanding will be presented to the Council of Ministers.
