LEFKOSA - While the Commission of Assessment and Compensation of Immovable Properties continue its studies, TRNC Prime Minister Dervis Eroglu issued a circular on Wednesday calling state institutions to help the commission.
The circular which was sent to ministries and departments connected to ministries noted that ''if necessary, the commission can ask for written and verbal testimonies, it can listen to witnesses, and ask for information and documentation. If the demands of the commission are not met without a legal excuse, this will be a crime.'' The circular asked state institutions to fulfill the demands of the commission.
The commission which started to work last week in order to find solution regarding the Greek Cypriot properties within the borders of TRNC, continues its studies under the leadership of former chairman of Supreme Court Salih Dayioglu.
The decisions taken by the commission which will work as a court, will be binding and they will be implemented like decisions of the court. The amount of the compensation will be met from the state budget.
