ANKARA - ''Settlement of security is the first thing to do for resolution of Israeli-Palestinian dispute,'' said Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan during his meeting with Israeli Deputy Prime Minister & Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni in Ankara on Monday.
''Then, road map should be activated, and Israeli and Palestinian parties should sit at negotiation table for a two-state resolution,'' he added.
Sources said that Erdogan supported talks which have started between Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas and Israeli administration.
During the meeting, Erdogan said, ''holding negotiations instead of unilateral acts will bring solution to the problem.'' He asked Israel not to punish Palestinian people by halting humanitarian assistance.
On the other hand, Livni said that they want two-state resolution, and they plan to take steps to ease tension.
