ANKARA - U.S. Senate delegation, led by Foreign Relations Committee Chairman Senator Richard Lugar, arrived in Ankara on Tuesday.
Speaking at his arrival, Lugar said they would discuss with Turkish officials the issues concerning the two countries, and recalled that he had visited Turkey many times.
Lugar said he could make a statement to press following his contacts.
The delegation is expected to meet with Foreign Minister Abdullah Gul, National Defense Minister Vecdi Gonul, Justice Minister Cemil Cicek, and Chief of General Staff Gen. Hilmi Ozkok.
