ANKARA - Investment opportunities in Turkey were explained on Tuesday to the consultants of U.S. Congress members in the meetings held by Foreign Economic Relations Board (DEIK) in Ankara.
DEIK American-Turkish Council (ATC) Deputy Chairman Sureyya Yucel Ozden and ATC Chairman Lincoln Mc Curdy headed the meeting at Sheraton Hotel.
Sides majorly exchanged information about the problems during the meeting in which health, energy and foreign finance issues were taken up.
The meeting was closed to press and lasted nearly 1,5 hours.
Ozden told A.A correspondent after the meeting that they had taken up energy sector, the field of Environment and Forestry Ministry, issues regarding pharmacy of Health Ministry and activities of Foreign Trade Undersecretariat during the meeting.
Ozden said that bureaucrats who attended the meeting made presentations regarding their fields and replied questions and he added that there was nothing concrete in the meeting.
Ozden said that they did their best to inform consultants of U.S. Congress members so that they would give right information about Turkey in the United States and they could understand and tell the problems of Turkey.
Energy and Natural Resources Undersecretary Sami Demirbilek, Environment and Forestry Ministry Undersecretary Hasan Zuhuri Sarikaya, Foreign Trade Undersecretariat Agreements Directorate General Chairperson Cigdem Kilickaya and Health Ministry Medicine and Pharmacy Director General Hayriye Mihcak attended the meeting.
