ANKARA - Turkey's first observation satellite (BILSAT) which was produced by technology transfer by Turkish Scientific and Technical Research Council (TUBITAK) Information Technologies and Electronics Research Institute (BILTEN) will be launched on September 26.
Releasing a statement on Tuesday, TUBITAK said that BILSAT whose two significant parts were designed by Turkish engineers and which was produced in BILTEN laboratories in Ankara would be launched from Russia on September 26.
Launching of BILSAT was delayed to September 26 since Russia changed its schedule to overcome a failure in a Russian satellite.
TV channels can broadcast launching of the satellite free of charge on September 26.
