10th International Aspendos Opera And Ballet Festival To End Tonight

ANTALYA - The 10th International Aspendos Opera and Ballet Festival will end late on Saturday.
Releasing a statement, the Directorate General of State Opera and Ballet said, ''International Aspendos Festival is the only opera and ballet festival in Turkey. This year's festival started on June 14. A total of 17 concerts were given during this year's festival. Three foreign orchestras participated in the festival. The festival will end tonight with Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky's The Nutcracker to be staged by Kyrgyz Opera and Ballet.''
''During the night, Kyrgyzstan will celebrate the 2200th anniversary of foundation of the first Kyrgyz state. The ceremonies which started with declaration of 2003 as the year of Kyrgyz State will continue tonight in the ancient theatre of Aspendos which has a history of 2 thousand years,'' the statement added.
