Turkish Festival To Be Held In Chicago

CHICAGO - Turkish Festival will be held in Chicago, the United States, in which nearly 15 thousand Turkish people live, between September 15 and 17, 2003.
The festival will be organized under cooperation of Chicago Turkish-American Culture Association (TACA) and Turkish Consulate General in Chicago.
A fashion show will be performed to promote samples of the Ottoman era clothing.
Whirling dervishes will display a performance during the festival.
Turkish Consul General in Chicago Naci Koru said that they had been expending efforts to make the festival traditional.
Nearly 300 thousand people are expected to watch the festival.
