MUGLA - Halil Ibrahim Ozdemir, the pilot of the Turkish jetfighter which collided with a Greek fighter yesterday, was sent from Fethiye town of Aegean city of Mugla to Balikesir for further medical treatment.
Ozdemir was wounded after Turkish and Greek fighter jets collided each other in international airspace over the Aegean and the Mediterranean yesterday. He was brought to Fethiye for emergency treatment, and was kept under control in Department of Neurosurgery.
Fikri Yetkin, a brain surgeon in Fethiye State Hospital, said that Ozdemir is in stable condition. ''Ozdemir has no broken bones, nor is there a problem in his cervical vertebras,'' he added.
