ANKARA - State Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Mehmet Ali Sahin said on Friday that they would be in an effort to better social and economic conditions of civil servants and state officials.
Prior to his meeting with administrators of Confederation of Public Workers Trade Unions (KESK) and Turkish Public Workers Trade Union (Kamu-Sen) to take up collecting bargaining, Sahin told reporters that they came together to negotiate social and financial rights of state officials in 2004.
Sahin noted that they would sign a text of compromise in this year's meetings.
They wanted to negotiate the issue and reach a positive result within 15 days, Sahin stated.
Pointing out that the law on civil servants should be amended, Sahin said that the government had promised to amend it.
