Babacan: All Arrangements Which Were Put To Implementation Helped Installation Of Peace And Security Atmosphere

ANKARA - State Minister Ali Babacan said on Friday that all arrangements which they put to implementation not only helped installation of peace and security atmosphere but at the same time provided source to Turkish economy.
Babacan held a news conference in Treasury Undersecretariat.
Babacan said they put an effective economic program into force since they come to power to provide a stable and permanent growth and to increase employment and production. Babacan said they at the same time started to implement social policies and relieved the sections, which particularly suffered from economic crises.
State Minister Babacan said agriculture was one of the sectors which were mostly affected by the economic crisis of the past. He said prices of agriculture products decreased rapidly, interests of the credits increased, burden of borrowings increased, credits were not re-paid, and the farmers had to sell their lands and houses.
Babacan said the law on re-structuring of agricultural credits was prepared again and started to be implemented to overcome the unjust treatment to 820 thousand farmers.
