Efforts Continue To Find Boat Which Sank Off Edremit

EDREMIT - Efforts have been continuing to find the boat, which sank off Avcilar village in Edremit town of northwestern province of Balikesir.
Sources told the A.A correspondent on Wednesday that bodies of five people, who had been trying to proceed from Libya to Italy illegally by a boat, were washed up onto shore in Avcilar village earlier in the day.
Meanwhile, four Sudanese people managed to swim to the shores.
Acting on the information given by these people, security forces have launched a search operation to find the boat.
Balikesir Governor Atil Uzelgun said that two coast-guard boats had been searching the boat.
During their interrogation, Sudanese people said that there were 16-18 people aboard the boat.
