THREE GEORGIAN CITIZENS DETAINED

ISTANBUL - A total of three Georgian citizens and six people were captured and detained in two separate operations in Istanbul.
Sources told the A.A correspondent on Wednesday that security forces launched two operations against weapon smugglers between August 7 and 8.
Three Georgian citizens who attempted to sell weapons, which they brought in from Georgia, and six people who tried to market hand-made weapons, were captured and detained during the operations.
During the operations, security forces confiscated, a kalashnikov rifle, two rifles, ten hand-guns, a number of bullets and false identity cards.
