ANKARA - ''Former PM Bulent Ecevit will continue to remain under sedation so that the oedema in his brain will dissolve,'' told the Gulhane Military Hospital (GATA) on Sunday.
The GATA statement said, ''Ecevit was diagnosed with a stroke on the left side of his brain, with symptoms that included high blood pressure and weakness in the legs. He is breathing with the help of a respirator. Ecevit is under sedation to avoid a new stroke. Although his vital signs are stable, his overall situation remains serious.''
