ANKARA - A full investigation into Wednesday's armed attack on Council of State judges continues. The number of detainees rose to 9 in connection with the attack and three others are wanted by the police, sources said on Saturday.
Questioning of lawyer Alparslan Arslan, the gunman, and other detainees continues.
The attack occurred in the Council of State Chamber 2 during a committee meeting on Wednesday morning. Four judges were wounded in the attack, while judge Mustafa Yucel Ozbilgin, who was shot in the head, later died in the hospital. The assailant, lawyer Arslan Alparslan from the Istanbul Bar, was detained and taken to the Anti-Terror Department for interrogation.
