ECEVIT RISKS HIS LIFE TO ATTEND FUNERAL OF OZBILGIN
Former Prime Minister Bulent Ecevit is currently in Gulhane Military Hospital (GATA) in Ankara and he is still in critical condition. Ecevit's health condition deteriorated after he attended the funeral of Mustafa Yucel Ozbilgin, who was killed in the armed attack on Council of State judges.
OZKOK: ''REACTION SHOULD BE PERMANENT''
Turkish Chief of General Staff Gen. Hilmi Ozkok assessing the attack on Council of State said that he appreciated Turkish people's reaction to the attack. He noted that the reaction should be permanent.

THE MOST DIFFICULT DECISION OF RAHSAN ECEVIT
Doctors told former Prime Minister Bulent Ecevit's wife Rahsan Ecevit that ''Ecevit was diagnosed with a stroke. He should undergo an operation, but he could die during operation. Do you approve the operation?'' Rahsan Ecevit approved the operation and noted that this was the most difficult decision that she ever made.
ACCIDENT LIKE MASSACRE
A small truck packed with illegal immigrants from Afghanistan and Bangladesh crashed into a parked transport truck, leaving 42 people dead and six others injured. The tragic accident happened near the southern city of Osmaniye.

ATTACK ON COUNCIL OF STATE CAUSES TENSION
The armed attack on Council of State caused tension in Ankara. Turkish PM Recep Tayyip Erdogan and main opposition Republican People's Party (CHP) leader Deniz Baykal blamed each other for the current situation after the mentioned attack. Erdogan said, ''Baykal stated that there is blood in politics. There is no connection between the attack and politics.'' Baykal stated, ''Prime minister was confused. He should be aware of the fact that Turkey is going into a bad situation.''
93,000 PEOPLE VISIT ANITKABIR
Reactions to the armed attack on Council of State judges also made an impact on ceremonies to mark May 19th Commemoration of Ataturk, Youth and Sports Day. On Thursday (a day after the armed attack on Council of State), 93,000 people visited Anitkabir, the Mausoleum of Ataturk, the Founder of Turkish Republic. Yesterday, tens of thousands of people visited Anitkabir.

OZKOK: ''REACTION OF PEOPLE SHOULD BE PERMANENT''
