ANKARA - Former Prime Minister Bulent Ecevit is still in serious condition, according to a statement made by Gulhane Military Hospital (GATA).
The statement said Ecevit was brought to the hospital at 9:00 p.m. on Thursday because of problems caused by high blood pressure and was taken into surgery at 9:45 p.m.
The statement said, ''the surgical operation ended at 04:30 a.m. Mr. Ecevit is still in intensive care unit. However, he is still in serious condition.''
