VOICE OF WOMEN GETS LOUDER
Tens of thousands of people who condemned the attack in Council of State, rushed to Anitkabir (the mausoleum of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, the Founder of the Modern Turkish Republic) and shouted their loyalty to secular Turkey.
HE ALSO CONFESSES BOMB ATTACK ON CUMHURIYET
Alparslan Arslan, who staged the armed attack at the Council of State on Wednesday, also confessed that he was responsible for the bomb attacks on Cumhuriyet newspaper. 10 people were detained in connection with the two incidents. Efforts are underway to find four others.

ECEVIT GOES INTO A COMA
Former Prime Minister Bulent Ecevit was hospitalized late on Thursday after falling ill at around 8:00 p.m. in his house. Earlier in the day Ecevit had attended funeral of Mustafa Yucel Ozbilgin, who was killed in the armed attack on Council of State judges.
Ecevit was taken into surgery at Gulhane Military Hospital following a cerebral hemorrhage. Ecevit is in serious condition.
RESPONSE TO BULLET
Tens of thousands of people went to Anitkabir (the mausoleum of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, the Founder of the Modern Turkish Republic) and condemned the attack in Council of State. Some citizens cried at the mausoleum of Ataturk.
For the first time people were allowed to chant slogans and applause was allowed in Anitkabir. People called on government to resign and chanted slogans like ''Turkey is secular and will remain secular''.
No representative from the government attended the march.

THE INCIDENT SOLVED
Police solved the secret code of the murder that shook Turkey. Osman Yildirim who helped Alparslan Aslan, who staged the armed attack in Council of State, was detained. Efforts are underway to capture Ismail Sagir, the third name of the action. It was also revealed that those three threw the bombs at Cumhuriyet newspaper.
PRAYERS ARE FOR ECEVIT
Former Prime Minister Bulent Ecevit was taken into surgery at Gulhane Military Hospital (GATA) following a cerebral hemorrhage. Ecevit was reported in serious condition. Many party members and citizens rushed to hospital.

GREAT ANGER IN FUNERAL
There was throng at the funeral of Council of State member Mustafa Yucel Ozbilgin, who died in the armed attack in Council of State. People applauded President Ahmet Necdet Sezer and the force commanders. Five ministers who attended the funeral representing the government had difficult moments.
People booed the ministers when they came to the mosque. A water bottle was thrown to a minister. The ministers were taken from the mosque when the protests and slogans have increased.

THE ATTACKER IS THE SAME
Police determined that Alparslan Arslan, who staged the armed attack at the Council of State, also directed the terrorists who staged bomb attacks on headquarter of Cumhuriyet newspaper.
According to police, Arslan proceeded to Ankara following the recent attack on Cumhuriyet in Istanbul and staged the attack on Council of State after getting prepared.
ANGER TO GOVERNMENT
Tens of thousands of citizens attended the funeral of Council of State Chamber 2 member Mustafa Yucel Ozbilgin who was murdered in the attack on Council of State. At the funeral, the citizens called on the government to resign and protested the ministers who attended the funeral.

CIVILIAN WARNING TO GOVERNMENT
Attack on Council of State caused a strong social reaction. Around 120,000 people marched to Anitkabir. Tens of thousands of people attended the ceremony in Council of State. There was strong reaction against the government and the ministers.
10 PEOPLE UNDER QUESTIONING
Even if Alparslan Arslan, who attacked the Council of State, said he was alone, there are suspicions for an organization. Five people detained in Ankara and four others detained in Istanbul.
Police sources said: ''at least four people were involved''.

ERDOGAN CALLS FOR UNITY
''We should not allow those bullets, which targeted our social peace, to reach their target. The best response to yesterday's heinous attack in the Council of State is to preserve our unity and integrity,'' said Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan delivering a speech in southern city of Antalya.
''Secularism is one of the guarantees of our social peace. Our government will make Turkey a safe place for absolute democracy, secularism and rule of law. We should not allow those bullets, which targeted our social peace, to reach their target. The best response to yesterday's heinous attack in the Council of State is to preserve our unity and integrity,'' he stressed.

Very important information was obtained pertaining to the links of Alparslan Arslan, who staged the armed attack at the Council of State. Security Department focuses on the links of Arslan with the Turkish Revenge Brigade (TIT) that was involved in the murder of Human Rights Association (IHD) former President Akin Birdal.
ARMENIAN DRAFT IN FRANCE DROPPED FOR NOW
French parliament ended Thursday's session on a draft law which proposes ''any denial of Armenian genocide to be considered a crime'' without bringing it to voting.
French National Assembly President Jean-Louis Debre closed the session without voting on the draft law. The issue will be taken up later.
French parliament sources said that a possible voting on the draft law would not be held until new legislation term began in October.
