-GUNMEN DETAINED

RIZE - Governor Enver Salihoglu of the northern city of Rize said on Thursday that the gunmen who shot and injured Prof. Dr. Hulusi Acar, director of the Findikli Vocational Academy of the Black Sea Technical University, was captured.
Salihoglu said that Prof. Dr. Acar was injured in his leg, and rushed to hospital for medical treatment.
''The gunmen is a former student whose ties with the school was severed. He has been interrogated by the police,'' Salihoglu added.
