ISTANBUL - Turkish State Minister & Deputy Prime Minister Mehmet Ali Sahin left for the United States on Thursday to attend ''Turkish Day Parade'' in New York.
Sahin will represent Turkey in ministerial level.
The 25th Traditional Turkish Day Parade will be held in New York, the United States on May 20th, 2006.
Egemen Bagis, Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan's foreign policy adviser, and four MPs will join the parade.
Atilla Pak, chairman of Federation of Turkish American Associations that pioneers the parade, stated that several Turkish singers, dancers of Anatolian Fire, and folk dance groups would attend the parade.
Pak said that one day before the parade, Turkish Day Parade Ball would take place in Hilton Hotel in Manhattan.
On May 20th, the parade will start from the intersection of 56th Avenue and Madison Avenue and end at the Dag Hammarksjold Park.
On May 21st, ''Peace March'' will take place on Brooklyn Bridge. The Turkish Culture Festival will end with a reception that will be hosted by Turkey's Consul General in New York Omer Onhon.
