ANKARA - Alpaslan Arslan, a lawyer from the Istanbul Bar, who was detained in connection with the armed attack against Council of State members, was quoted as saying that he was influenced by the headscarf discussions.
Arslan told in his interrogation in Anti-Terror Department that he staged the attack individually and did not have any connection with any organization.
In his interrogation, Arslan described himself an extreme nationalist.
Ankara Security Department Anti-Terrorism Department teams found a pistol and piece of newspaper which has the photographs of Council of State members in the car of Arslan.
Meanwhile, it was also reported that efforts were underway to capture two people who have connection with Arslan.
