ANKARA - Turkey and Germany signed on Tuesday a 45.2 million euro of financial cooperation agreement under the Turkish-German Financial Cooperation to finance ''Erzurum Solid Waste Project'' and ''Municipality Infrastructure Program-II''.
The agreement was signed at the Treasury Undersecretariat building by Treasury Undersecretariat Foreign Economic Relations Deputy Director General Melih Nemli and German Ambassador in Ankara Dr. Wolf-Ruthart Born.
Born said that there had been a close cooperation between Turkey and Germany, and they had carried out important projects in field of economic cooperation in last forty years.
Recalling that Germany had given more than 4 billion euro in loan or donation to Turkey since 1958, Born said that the Turkish-German cooperation program was given shape in line with Turkey's EU candidacy.
