46,281 Residents Return Their Villages In Southeast Anatolia

DIYARBAKIR - A total of 46,281 residents returned their villages in southeast Diyarbakir, Mardin, Sirnak, Batman and Siirt provinces.
Diyarbakir Governor Nusret Miroglu told A.A correspondent on Tuesday that there were not any problems in return to villages. Noting that a total of 12,666 people have returned to 69 villages and 97 hamlets in Diyarbakir alone until today, Miroglu said that residents were aided 1.5 trillion Turkish Liras to build their houses.
Miroglu said that a total of 50 houses were delivered to citizens in Kulp town and added that they especially attributed importance to mountainous areas. Noting that they wanted to combine the houses which were located separately in mountainous areas with Central Village Project, Miroglu said that it was difficult to bring every type of service to scattered houses and thus they wanted to bring small villages together.
Governor Offices provide material aid to those who return their villages.
While a total of 46,281 people have returned to 392 villages in the last two years in Diyarbakir, Mardin, Siirt, Sirnak and Batman provinces, governor offices are providing briquette, iron, sand and cement to those who returned to their villages to help them build their houses.
Governor offices are carrying out various projects to make the residents carry on their lives.
