BAGHDAD - A US sailor was killed in Iraq's restive Al-Anbar province in the course of enemy action, the US military announced Thursday.
The sailor was killed Wednesday and was attached to the marines' Regimental Combat Team 5 stationed around the insurgent-stronghold of Fallujah.
The latest death brings the number of US military personnel killed in Iraq since the invasion to 2,448, according to Pentagon figures.
