ANKARA - ''The brain surgery of Mustafa Yucel Ozbilgin (member of the Council of State) is going on. He was seriously wounded as he was shot in the head. His condition is highly critical,'' said Prof. Dr. Ugur Erdener, director general of Hacettepe University Hospitals, today.
Mustafa Birden, another member of the Council of State, went through a spleen surgery and is in intensive care unit presently.
All injured members of the Council of State are receiving treatment at the Hacettepe Hospital.
Meanwhile, the father of Alparslan Arslan who shot the members of the Council of State this morning said that his son is ''someone who has high religious values and prays constantly but he is not a radical Muslim.''
