TRNC FOREIGN AND DEFENSE MINISTRY: ''NEWS CLAIMING THAT LEAVING TURKEY WITH TRNC PASSPORTS IS NOT ALLOWED IS NOT REFLECTING TRUTH''
Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) Foreign and Defense Ministry stated on Monday that the news claiming that those who wanted to depart from Turkey with TRNC passports were not allowed was not reflecting the truth.
Releasing a written statement, the ministry said that TRNC citizens could depart from Turkey to third countries with their TRNC passports.
The statement recalled that if the countries to be visited asked for visa, people, who had TRNC or Turkish Republic passports, had to take visas. The Ministry noted that such wrong news stories were published when one TRNC citizen wanted to leave Turkey without getting visa from a third country which he had to take.
Ministry also stated that they found strange the publication of such news without confirming them.
