ANKARA - Turkey has launched initiatives to extend food aid to Palestine, Foreign Ministry spokesman Namik Tan said on Wednesday.
Tan told a weekly press conference that Turkey has decided to contribute to international community's efforts to extend food aid to Palestinian people.
Within this framework, Turkey will send about 10,000 tons of flour and wheat to Palestine, he stated.
Tan indicated that Turkish Foreign Ministry, Soil Products Office and Turkish Red Crescent will complete necessary procedures in the possible shortest time, and send the food aid to Palestine.
