ISTANBUL - Police officer Metehan Sahbaz, who was seriously wounded in an armed attack on three police officers two days ago in Gaziosmanpasa, Istanbul, has died this morning.
Three policemen were injured in an armed attack in Gaziosmanpasa neighborhood of Istanbul on Monday. One of the police officers, Metehan Sahbaz, was shot in his head.
Two assailants, who attempted to escape after the attack, were captured in Eyup district.
A clash occurred when the patrolling motorized teams ordered a car to stop on Monday. When the police teams warned the car to stop, assailants in the car opened gunfire.
