ANKARA - Naval forces commanders of European countries met in Turkish Mediterranean city of Antalya, Turkish Naval Forces Command announced on Tuesday.
Executives of the Turkish Naval Forces Command indicated that Land Forces Commander Admiral Yener Karahanoglu hosted the European Naval Forces Commanders' Meeting held between May 11th and 12th.
Commanders from Belgium, Bulgaria, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Lithuania, Malta, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Spain, Sweden, Britain and the USA exchanged views on sea security problems of Europe. Observers from EU and NATO also participated in the meeting.
The next meeting of European commanders will take place in Sweden on May 13th, 2007.
