No Vegetable, Animal Products And Food Permitted To Enter From Iraq To Turkey

ANKARA - Unless an authority to regulate certificates of vegetable, animal products and food is set up in Iraq; vegetable, vegetable and animal products, and food are not permitted to enter from this country to Turkey.
Officials of Rural Affairs and Agriculture Protection and Control Directorate General talked on Monday to A.A about the 600 vehicles loaded with wheat in Iraq waiting in Habur customs field for 14 days.
''Turkish trade counselor of Turkish Embassy in Baghdad talked to American officials in Iraq who said that the Agricultural Ministry in Iraq didn't start to work yet and that there was no authority to give certificates regarding the import of vegetable and vegetable products from Iraq. Foreign Ministry deals with the issue,'' officials noted.
