ANKARA - There are certain movements taking place in foreign currency markets and financial markets in Turkey. There is no need to panic and expect a negative scenario in the Turkish economy, said Cemil Cicek, Turkish Government Spokesman and Minister of Justice, today after the meeting of the Council of Ministers.
Speaking to reporters after the meeting of the Council of Ministers, Cicek remarked that the draft law on employing foreign doctors has been sent to the Turkish parliament.
Cicek told the press corps that Turkey needs to take steps in the establishment of nuclear facilities for nuclear energy. ''Turkey is already behind many countries in utilizing nuclear energy,'' told Cicek.
Minister Cicek stressed that the Turkish economy is no longer what it used to be 4-5 years ago. ''Despite negative factors, such as the war in Iraq and developments in Iran, the Turkish economy has been resilient and successful,'' added Cicek.
