ANKARA - Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Abdullah Gul said on Monday, ''we have asked many questions to the United States about dispatch of Turkish soldiers to Iraq. Now, we are waiting for their response.''
Responding questions of journalists about tomorrow's summit meeting at the Cankaya Presidential Palace, Gul said. ''it is too early to make a statement for the time being. The issue will also been taken up at the Council of Ministers.''
''We have asked many questions to the United States about dispatch of Turkish soldiers to Iraq. Now, we are waiting for their response,'' he said.
Yesterday, General Staff Deputy Chief General Yasar Buyukanit said that they had sent a document to the United States including a series of questions.
