SIVAS - Security forces impounded 54.6 kilograms of heroin in Susehri town of the central city of Sivas on Monday.
Acting on a tip-off, security forces stopped and searched a passenger bus, which was on its way from the eastern city of Erzurum to Istanbul with its 22 passengers.
During the search, they seized 54.6 kg of heroin hidden in trunk of the bus.
A passenger was detained.
A full investigation into illicit drug trafficking is under way.
