Italian Prime Minister Berlusconi Arrives In Turkey

ISTANBUL - Silvio Berlusconi, the Prime Minister of Italy, European Union (EU) Term President, arrived in Istanbul at 16.05 local time to participate in wedding ceremony of Bilal Erdogan, son of Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Abdullah Gul, State Minister Kursad Tuzmen, Istanbul Governor Muammer Guler and Italian Ambassador in Ankara Vittorio Surdo welcomed Berlusconi at Istanbul's Ataturk Airport.
Two packages, expected to be wedding presents, were brought from the back door of the plane, before Berlusconi's arrival.
