VIENNA - Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan met German Chancellor Angela Merkel in Vienna, Austria today.
The two leaders` meeting took place at the congress center where the EU-Latin America Leaders` Summit began. Turkish State Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Mehmet Ali Sahin and State Minister and Chief Negotiator for EU talks Ali Babacan also attended the Erdogan-Merkel meeting.
Erdogan told the press corps that his meeting with Merkel today focused on his upcoming visit to Germany on May 25th-26th.
According to Ali Babacan, today`s earlier meeting of Erdogan and Greek Prime Minister Kostas Karamanlis was one in which economic and commercial relations were discussed. ``Erdogan and Karamanlis talked on developing tourism relations between Turkey and Greece,`` said Babacan.
