ANKARA - International Monetary Fund (IMF) delegation headed by IMF Turkey Desk Chief Lorenzo Giorgianni met Rifat Hisarciklioglu, Chairman of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchange of Turkey (TOBB), in Ankara on Thursday.
Following the meeting, Hisarciklioglu told reporters that they discussed the problems of Turkish real sector.
``We, as real sector, only want to have an equal position with our rivals in the aspect of competition power. Tax system should be easy and affordable to increase the competition power of real sector,`` said Hisarciklioglu.
He noted, ``we conveyed Giorgianni that tax burdens over energy affect competition powers of energy prices significantly. We want tax burden over energy as well as energy prices to be equal with our rivals. Turkey should pursue the structural reforms for sustainable growth in future period.``
