ANKARA - Turkish Justice Minister Cemil Cicek said on Wednesday that restricting freedoms was not targeted with an amendment that would be made to draft Anti-Terrorism Law.
``Neither the government nor the opposition or any party thought of amnesty to the person in question (Abdullah Ocalan, the head of the terrorist organization),`` Cicek said after the draft (envisaging amendment to draft Anti-Terrorism Law) was sent to the sub-commission.
``Our target is not to restrict the freedoms and freedom of press,`` Cicek said, noting that they made use of international texts while preparing the draft.
Cicek stated that all the institutions and organizations that may share their views and suggestions on the draft with the sub-commission.
