ANKARA - Turkish State Minister Ali Babacan met International Monetary Fund (IMF) delegation headed by IMF Turkey Desk Chief Lorenzo Giorgianni over breakfast in Ankara on Wednesday.
Babacan and IMF delegation discussed macroeconomic figures, economic performance in 2005, inflation, exports, direct foreign capital inflow, budget figures of 2005, privatization, social security law, balance of payments in 2005 and 2006, and new income tax law in the meeting.
Turkish Treasury Undersecretary Ibrahim Canakci and IMF Senior Resident Representative in Turkey Hugh Bredenkamp also attended the meeting.
IMF delegation will hold talks in Turkey till May 18th.
